  • Misc. History: Greg Sikorsky purchased this old 1939 Mack along with many sourced out parts, intending to build a fully restored antique. Sadly, before he had a chance to do much work to the truck, he perished on September 11th, 2001 while operating with FDNY Squad 41 at the World Trade Center. After his death, the Hillcrest Fire Company along with his family and friends spent months building the truck inside of the Route 306 firehouse (later to be named in his honor). The truck was completed in late Spring 2002, in time to carry Greg's casket at his funeral.
